The Festive Season 2019 started on November 30 at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, with spectacular displays of giant Christmas trees, sparkling lights, and, most importantly, the meaningful values the hotel brings to disadvantaged children in Hanoi through this special festivity.

Last Saturday, InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 welcomed 150 guests and 50 children from SOS Village Hanoi to witness the moment the dazzling lights turned on for all the Christmas trees in the hotel, signifying the start of the season of festivities. This year, not only does the giant Christmas tree come back, made of more than 300 LED-lit balls across the hotel’s iconic signature atrium between the 71^st and 62^nd floors, but it also features for the first time a five-meter tall Polar Bear Christmas Tree, which serves as the highlight of the CSR activities from InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 throughout this Festive Season.

Completed within one day with nearly 1,200 stuffed Polar Bears, this special Christmas tree will not only be a stunning addition to the Festive decorations at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 but also help to donate to the hotel’s meaningful charities. Each Polar Bear is available for purchase at only VND150,000 ($6.5), and for each bear sold the hotel will donate another one to children in several hospitals and orphanages in Hanoi.

Guests joining the Tree Lighting Ceremony also became the first people to taste the new flavors of the season from all five restaurants and bars at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, with a spectacular dinner buffet at 3 Spoons Restaurant, featuring new Festive dishes alongside premium ingredients like 40-month aged Iberico black pork, Canadian lobster, Russian king crab, and the best cuts of meat from Stellar Steakhouse, paired with a selection of fine wines from Hanoi’s second-largest collection that the hotel proudly features.

Throughout December, festive diners can enjoy daily special menus at all dining venues. The famed Afternoon Tea experience at The Hive Lounge comes back with a Chocolate Buffet every day, exclusively from the famous Weiss chocolate brand.
