Visitors to Ho Chi Minh City will have the chance to admire the city’s streets from high above on Hop on - Hop off sightseeing buses from January 15.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, each of the double-decker buses can accommodate 60 people at a time and are equipped with state-of-the-art navigation technology and global GPS. Upstairs is open air seating.

In front of each seat is an automatically interpreting multilingual system that introduces travelers to famous attractions.

The route is circular, in which the first point coincides with the end point. Each bus will visit 30 historical sites and famous tourist spots.

Trips take some 30-35 minutes in total, from 9am to 5.45pm daily. Tickets for adults are VND330,000 ($13) and for children from six to 12 years old VND250,000 ($10.8), while children under 5 years old travel for free.

The specific route is as follows: Departure at Cong Xa Paris Street - Le Duan Street - Dinh Tien Hoang Street - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street - Phung Khac Khoan Street - Tran Cao Van Street - Vo Van Tan Street - Ba Huyen Thanh Quan Street - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street - Ton That Tung Street - Pham Ngu Lao Street - Yersin Street - Tran Hung Dao Street - Ham Nghi Street - Ho Tung Mau Street - Ton Duc Thang Street - Nguyen Hue Street - Le Thanh Ton Street - Pasteur Street - Le Duan Street - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street - Han Thuyen Street - and ending at Cong Xa Paris Street.
