Heineken Vietnam recently launched its annual “Warm Spring 2020” program in the Mekong Delta’s Tien Giang province, where the company donated 166 gift sets worth over $4,300 to people in need.
The community support program aims to deliver a total of 4,800 gifts this year valued at around $69,000 to needy families in 28 locations in Vietnam. Each family will receive a set of Tet gifts that include cash and daily necessities.
The program will start in Tien Giang before continuing to Binh Thuan, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, An Giang, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Hanoi, Soc Trang, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa, Long An, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, and Vung Tau.
This is the ninth year Heineken Vietnam has carried out its “Warm Spring” program to try to bring some festive joy to underprivileged families during Tet. With strong support from the company’s employees and its business partners, it has donated more than $413,600 since starting the program, while its employees and business partners have donated an additional $86,200 and put in close to 11,000 voluntary hours to support local communities.
“At Heineken Vietnam, people are at the heart of what we do and we believe everyone should be able to celebrate Tet,” said Mr. Jacco Van der Linden, Managing Director of Heineken Vietnam. “Our annual ‘Warm Spring’ is one of the most popular programs on our annual calendar as it brings joy to people who need it at a very special time of year.”
“We are proud that our employees and business partners feel the same way and actively donate money and volunteer their time to support this cause. With their support, we hope we can help create a warm atmosphere and make a difference for people to celebrate the upcoming holiday.”
